Reporting on Euro 2020 for Sky News Radio

It was long awaited, but Euro 2020 eventually arrived and delivered drama, excitement and a major tournament final appearance for England for the first time in 55 years.

I was fortunate enough to be asked to report on the home nations throughout the tournament for Sky News Radio – joining supporters at various fan parks.

This involved providing reports to the UK commercial radio network which delivered the information about the games, as well as providing colour to help give a flavour of what was happening at the locations I was reporting from.

Unfortunately, a Covid-19 infection took me out of the last week of the tournament, denying me the chance to report on England’s incredible finale to the competition. However, it was an amazing experience to cover some fantastic matches at the tournament.

The games I reported on were:
Scotland 0-2 Czech Republic
Turkey 0-2 Wales
England 0-0 Scotland
Italy 1-0 Wales
Wales 0-4 Denmark
